My child is coming to Camp Walden for the first time this summer. Would I be able to call to see how they are doing within the first couple of weeks of camp?
At Camp Walden, it is our policy to call the parents of newcomers to let them know how they are adjusting to camp life. Your calls are also welcome at any time or you can email us at office@campwalden.ca
How can you know how my child is doing in such a short time span?
We have an original camper tracking system. Basically, we evaluate each camper every week with the unit le ads and counselors. The le adership team can then get a good idea of how your camper is adjusting to camp.
My Children are coming to Camp Walden for the first time. I have signed them up for four weeks to see if they enjoy themselves, if they do, may I sign them up for the remaining weeks?
On Visiting Day, if you would like to extend your child’s stay, that is perfectly fine, if space allows.
Why does Camp Walden not sell snack food at the Tuck Shop?
Throughout the summer, your child will receive plenty of snacks along with well balanced meal. Therefore, we find it unnecessary to provide the children with even more junk food. At the tuck shop, we sell toiletries and various other sundry items which are included in Camp Walden’s all inclusive fee.
Why does Camp Walden only have one fee? Are there more to come later?
Camp Walden has one all inclusive fee, there are no extra fees. What you see is what you get. We feel it is better to make the parents fully aware how much the camp Walden experience will cost for their campers.
